Del Rey Avenue between Washington and Maxella used to be very different. It was filled with motor homes parked all along and people sleeping on the street. It sounded like one rowdy party at night. It was a street to be avoided. Sorry, Update does not have any photos showing what it was like before.
Today, it is a normal street filled with cars going back and forth and cars parked doing business with the stores on Lincoln and Del Rey. Senior Lead Officer Gregg Jacobus was asked what happened because it is night and day compared with what it was. Officer Jacobus said “we really worked hard to clean it up.” Mission accomplished.
