Oxford Retention Basin (Duck Pond) Public Meet

The County of Los Angeles Department of Public Works will hold a public meeting Wednesday, May 29, 2013, 7 to 9 pm at the Burton Chace Park Community Room to present the Oxford Basin Enhancement Project, as well as the draft Mitigated Negative Declaration and Initial Study.

The project, scheduled for construction in 2014, is designed to enhance flood protection, reduce runoff pollution, and significantly improve the quality of plant and wildlife habitat within the facility, as well as its aesthetic appeal.

The 30-day public review period for the Mitigated Negative Declaration and Initial Study will begin on May 20, 2013 and end on June 18, 2013. The complete document and other project details will be available for review at http://dpw.lacounty.gov/go/oxford.
