BEVMO is proposing to convert present site at 4214 Lincoln Blvd into a retail liquor store to open in 2014. Existing structure will be removed and a new building built.
Jim Murez of Land Use and Planning Committee (LUPC) asked if people in Triangle were interested in adding conditions to the site. It is not known at this time when this will come before LUPC.
Some of the things to condition would be the hours and what types and quantities of liquor to be sold. Many do not like the single-bottle sale of beer; many do not like the sale of inexpensive liquor. Triangle residents did not like the off-site sale of liquor at Walgreens at all. This store is just south of the Dollar Tree on Lincoln, east side.
