The big green garbage trucks are such an attraction that the Sanitation Department is having an open house, “Discover Recycling.” It will be Saturday, June 29, 9 am to 2:30 pm, West Los Angeles District Yard at 2027 Stoner Ave.
A free fruit tree will be available for private home adoption. Participants adopting trees must verify that they live or own property. Verification will be driver’s license, DWP utility bill. Trees are on a first-come basis.
