California Coastal Commission recently notified  Playa Capital LLC that they were in violation of the California Coastal Act and that there were actions to be taken to remedy the violation.   See story at:  http://www.fortmilltimes.com/2013/07/10/2814364/grassroots-coalition-announces.html

This taking has been happening for over a decade. The same style of deception is being applied at the Oxford Lagoon. Degrade the habitat value to justify the project. It’s blatant fraud. Millions of dollars have been spent at the Ballona Wetlands Ecological Reserve on studies to justify the proposed $100 million restoration. They have been draining the surface water, dewatering (over-drafting the aquifer) below Playa Vista, since before construction started.

Don’t forget that the Santa Monica Bay Restoration Foundation/Commission and Heal The Bay have been in existence and supposedly protecting our environment for 25 years. Someone needs to tell them that without water, there is no life. What a sham.
