Quote from the Update about “Trees…..bushes…..sidewalks….…… Will do a story on alleys and sidewalks soon”.
Maybe Boogie Update is too fearful to name exact locations:
• bushes crowd over the sidewalk or low tree limbs scratching auto roofs;
• street and alley trash waiting for water or wind to move it away;
• trash containers off-site that block autos, attract scavengers or prowlers or thieves;

Liberalize the punitive 2 hour parking restrictions to a daylight limit for beach goers along the 500 block of Washington Bl. fronting the flood basin.
Santa Monica has a 6 hour limit for those going to the medical centers along the 2000 block of Broadway.

Regarding the scummy people at “Tsao Holdings” trying to open a business with only one parking spot, simply because, under antiquated zoning rules, you CAN open a business without providing adequate parking for the customers you bring in doesn’t mean it’s ethical to do so. Sleazy Gjelina has done this (bringing hundreds of customers a night without providing any parking for them) and now Wabi Sabi is trying to expand. (Oh, and are those “valet” stations legal?) I don’t patronize businesses that behave as Gjelina and these others do and I would urge other neighbors to avoid them as well. As the British economist Pigou said, a business must pay its costs out of its profits, not pass them on to others and force them to pay them.

Yes I’ve noticed this billboard. So inappropriate for such ads to be in inescapable public view and blocks from elementary schools.
” Mommy? What’s nude mean?” Does anyone have any consideration for children and their parents anymore? You can’t not watch it when it is public space, not like choosing a TV show or channel. Sad thing is that the clubs were only IN the valley. They are now all over the west side. Even adjacent to elementary and middle schools. The billboards are just so inappropriate though for public space where you have to see it while simply walking or driving down the street.

Please let it be known that this billboard is inappropriate for the Venice neighborhood. This was recently confirmed when my 3 year old daughter pointed at it and said princess.
Please remove.

The MyLA311 app is the best. Two of the three mattresses reported were picked up. Third would have been but owner moved it to front of property. Ping-pong table in Yale-Thatcher alley is next week’s target as well as the stop sign at Dickson-Oxford. Down load this app and clean up Venice. It is magic!
