Residential (R-1) portion of Triangle was used for ingress/egress and parking for Disney movie “Revenge.” According to Oxford Triangle Specific Plan (OTSP), gate is to remain locked unless there is an emergency. Triangle chains were cut and Waterside lock was put on after filming. Trucks and cars traversed the Triangle until early afternoon.
Last year when this happened, Arturo Pina, Council representative for Venice, tried to trace down the one from the LA Fire Department who was giving approval for ingress/egress and supposedly cut the chains. LA Fire Department never returned his calls.
Also when it happened last time, a copy of the OTSP was taken to the local fire department. The fire chief called the downtown fire department to locate fireman who supposedly cut the lock but fireman could not be found. This time the Venice fire department was empty and no one answered the door buzzer
