Candidates for Venice Neighborhood Council must file between March 4 and April 3. Elections will be held May 18. An election mixer will be held March 6 from 6 to 8 pm at James Beach, 60 N. Venice Blvd to provide prospective candidates an opportunity to meet VNC members, to learn about the jobs and the election process. Other dates for candidates are:
Candidate recruitment rally: Saturday, March 15, 2014, 1-3 pm, Penmar Community Room, 1341 Lake St.
Candidate recruitment event: Saturday, March 22, 2014, 1-3 pm, Venice Library, 501 S Venice Blvd.
Photo op and talk to current Board members preceding Board meeting: Tuesday, March 18, 2014, 6:30-7 pm, Westminster School, 1010 Abbot Kinney Blvd.
