Brig’s First Annual Crawfest comes to Venice Sunday (25 May), 11 am to 6 pm in the Brig’s outdoor parking lot, “transformed.” Tickets now and at the lot will be $45 for all you can eat of crawfish and drink of Budweiser and Sailor Jerry rum cocktails.
There will be a “good-times” crawfish boil, the traditional way-500 pounds of crawfish, Andouille sausage, corn, seasoning and a pot. Poured at the table. Play a game of cornhole. Get a Jerry tattoo.
A portion of proceeds will be donated to Venice Community Housing (www.vchcorp.org), a charitable organization that helps low-income people achieve economic and personal stability through non-profit affordable housing, education, and a comprehensive network of supportive services.
