Is this the new Venice sign? These can be seen hanging on 3rd Avenue.
Has Venice turned into the Wild West?–the place where laws are not to be obeyed, the place where the fastest gun prevails, or in this case, the biggest lawsuit or threat thereof is king. Has this turned into the place that will accept filth as the way of the streets and homeless encampments in front of a house or a park with children as today’s new event? Has a beautiful ocean park turned into a place to view the homeless lying on the lawn for delight of tourists? What is being created here? What are we allowing to happen?
Time to stop this instead of catering to it. Time for a City to stand up like parents and say this is not acceptable! Time for citizens to say they have had enough. Grow up or get out.
One can be homeless and obey the law, be clean, and not trash an area.
Time for a city to realize there are people here who own property, pay taxes, work, and try to raise a family. These are the people the City should support and promote. They care.
You can wait all you want to do something in the name of getting housing, but if you look around, you will be housing all the US homeless and those who seek the easy entitlements. Please understand, these people on the Venice streets are not from Venice.
By the very act of catering to this abuse are you not endorsing such and therefore increasing it?
Stop making Venice the dumping grounds! Stop using Venice as an excuse! Clean this up!
There are truly needy and deserving homeless people out there and our hearts go out to them but there are those who want to continue in their lifestyle of drugs and drink. They come from all over the country to drink in the homelessness
