New land use and planning committee (LUPC) members at meeting last Tuesday are, left to right, Todd Darling, Ramsey Dahl, Chair Robin Rudisill, Robert Aronson, Mehrnoosh Mojallali, Maury Ruano and Gabriel Ruspini.
Members Kathleen Rawson and Mark Kleiman were absent. To the left of the audience are chairs of ad hoc committee members, which are not shown. Ilana Marosi will be in charge of conditional use permits for alcohol and Dr. Judy Goldman will be in charge of short term rentals.
Former Chair Jake Kaufman stopped by to wish all well and to say that they better thicken their skins.
The “Red Garter” which wanted to extend its patio at 2536 Lincoln Blvd project and include live music in their conditional use permit was approved with conditions and plan approval after one year.
Two AT&T towers were tabled until the next meet which will be 5 August. Parties representing AT&T were not at the meet. No motion was made.
The two small lot subdivisions at 655 Vernon and 672 Brooks were tabled until next week. Both lots had the same plans. A separate motion has to be made for each project.
A short talk was given by Dr. Judy Goldman regarding the “Short-Term Rentals/Neighborhoods First.” She said she would be having a website available soon called “Keepneighborhoodsfirst.com.”
Agenda for next week has not been posted but it is rumored that 320 Sunset Avenue will be vetted along with the above that were not concluded.
