I’m with Dan on anonymous comments. It is too easy for people to comment anonymously as “hits” on others. The occasional anonymous tip that you know to be right on is fine by me. But numerous anonymous comments aren’t as worth reading as the rest of your wonderful and important newsletter.

I absolutely agree with Dan’s comment. Anyone can say anything anonymously. If someone doesn’t care to be associated with their comments, please don’t include them. Thanks.

Three things caught my eye in your Venice Update of 29 August:
1) Burglaries. On Crestmoore and Angelus. We had 2 burglaries and 1 attempted burglary in the past 10 or so days. Hide it, Lock it, and maybe we’ll Keep it. Lock windows, doors, gates, put stuff in our garages. Lacking a dog, look online at picking up Rex the Guard Dog: motion detector, warning pal.
2) Preferential Parking Districts (PPD). If I am reading correctly, Mr. Graham-Caso does not think that Venice needs any more parking as a requirement for PPD. If that is so, why not implement PPDs now? Hasn’t the CCC denied Venice Residents any kind of regulated parking based on the lack of existing parking spots? If they already exist, why is a Local Coastal Plan (LCP) needed? Is it necessary to spend a million dollars for something we may not need?
3) Anonymous signers. I prefer named signers; however with the goofballs who exist and are violent, being an anonymous signer can be the difference between safety and damage.

I think anonymous opinions are perfectly acceptable in this forum.
What difference does it make who has the opinion? It is that the opinion has been formed and expressed .that is important.
