A thank you to Captain Nicole Alberca and Gregg Jacobus, senior lead officer, for helping rid the Lincoln-Washington corner of bums shooting up and drinking in public. They aren’t all gone yet for sure. Just keep it up.
Another real big thank you to officers for getting rid of the solicitors at the Lincoln-Washington intersection. Please keep them out. This was attracting bums to corner. It is also really a bad promotion for Venice; not to mention, it is against the law. Venice has two main thoroughfares to the Venice Beach area–one Washington and the other is Venice. What do visitors think of Venice when they see the bums with the signs asking for money? What is that image they have when they approach? What is the image they take home?
One commenter to VeniceUpdate.com wanted to add a link regarding Jay Adams, but later decided not to, stating that it probably wasn’t the proper time to provide such. The young man was gay and wanted all to know that Adams was involved with the death of Dan Bradbury in what today would be considered a hate crime. Link is added here.
