Fire trucks left the scene at noon Thursday. Investigations continued with the Justice Department. When people will be able to get back into their storage units is still unknown.
One representative from the Alcohol, Tobacco, and Firearms of US Justice Department said it would probably be couple more days before they would be finished.
Talking with Jeff, who was sent by Extra Storage Space from Cerritos to help the manager of the facility, it didn’t seem like it would be much longer. Probably, Monday according to Jeff and all tenants would be notified by email.
Seven Gerard, fireman and paramedic, said that fire with a steel roof and cement floor was about as tough a fire as they come. “Water on the floor was boiling,” Gerard said. “That’s how hot it was. It took 14 hours to put it out and they haven’t had any incidents since.”
