“Controlling Fouling on Your Boat” will be the subject of a talk for boat owners 7 February 8:30 am to noon at Burton Chase Park, 13650 Mindanao Way.
Owners can learn about:
• Integrated pest management – What is it and how can it help me?
• Antifouling paints and hull coatings – What do I need to consider?
• Hull cleaning – When and how often should I clean?
• Other tactics – How else can I control fouling on my boat?
Invasive fouling organisms – What are they and why should I care?
Speakers will be Leigh Taylor Johnson, University of California Cooperative Extension Program and Carolynn Culver, California Sea Grant Extension Program as well as other boating community representatives.
