Last week’s story “Ryavec Says City, County have Double Standard for Park Camping” was totally wrong. Audrey Foster who provided photo and information said there wasn’t any double standard. She said that tenters were asked to leave one day and next day they were back.
“The police did come on that one day,” she said, “but the campers are still there. There are a minimum of 14 campsites. The officers came on that one day, so I gave a shout out, but the dwellers are still there.
“It’s basically the same as Venice. They say their hands are tied. Don’t think we are getting more service here … that would be inaccurate.
“We are EXTREMELY frustrated as well.”
