Great Venice Toy Drive is On!

Toys only5

The Fifth Annual Great Venice Toy drive is on until 17 December. Toys should be new, unwrapped, non-violent.

All toys will be given to children at the Holiday Festival, 19 December from 10 am to 2 pm, Oakwood Recreation Center at 767 California, Venice. Toys will be distributed on a first-come, first-serve basis to children up to 16 years old and when accompanied by a parent or guardian.

“Last year, The Great Venice Toy Drive ensured that over 500 Venice kids not only had a toy for the holiday season, but also had a great day at Oakwood park with their families and community,” said Mariana Aguilar, one of the toy drive’s team members. “With the help of our Venice neighbors, we hope to make this year’s event the best one yet.”

The toy drive and distribution is a joint effort of the Venice Neighborhood Council (VNC), Vera Davis McClendon Youth and Family Center, and the City of Los Angeles.
