These members of the audience are checking the candidates with the Venice Neighborhood Council (VNC) newspaper handout that contained candidate statements. These ladies are fulfilling the purpose of the two-day forum. DeDe Audet, former president of the Venice Neighborhood Council, counted only 69 people attending the first night and the second night a few over 80. Perhaps, voters had done their homework before.
Campaigners went through two days of questioning by Ivan Spiegel this past week at Westminster Elementary School. First day, Wednesday, was devoted to the at-large/community interest community officers. Second day had all the remaining officers and culminated with the Chair for the Land Use and Planning Committee candidates. The purpose was to acquaint members of the audience with those running.
The first four photos are those who are running for at-large/community interest community officer.
