Your argument is weak and the whole thing would NOT have been necessary if the piggish, and often criminal, RV “pirates” had not filled Venice streets with their junk boxes , forcing community action. This place was a mess, and it puzzled me then and it puzzles me now why homeless advocates include these off-the-grid “lifestylers,” with true homeless who need and want some assistance… Now we have two separate issues: parking and homeless, and they do not affect each other EXCEPT, if someone wants to assist the piggish, and often criminal, RV “pirates” with their junk boxes… Yes, DO help the homeless… but not by encouraging an entitled group of interlopers at the expense of the community. The bigger questions are; Why? And how does this effort actually help the homeless? Find another town…
