The Department of Beaches and Harbors currently is conducting tree maintenance throughout Marina del Rey. The maintenance efforts, which largely consists of tree trimming, are expected to continue through the month of December.

In addition to pruning trees to reduce oversized and heavy canopies and other kinds of branch trimming, at least 12 dead and/or diseased trees will be removed and replaced with drought-tolerant varieties complementary to surrounding trees. Photos of some of the trees to be removed are attached, as is a map showing where they are located.

Tree maintenance and removal at times requires crews to temporarily block access to public property in the Marina, including parts of roadways and parking lots. We apologize for any inconvenience to motorists, cyclists and pedestrians. We appreciate your patience as this necessary work is conducted in the weeks ahead.
