The County of Los Angeles Department of Public Works will hold a public meeting tonight (May 29) 7 to 9 pm at the Burton Chace Park Community Room to present the Oxford Basin Enhancement Project, as well as the draft Mitigated Negative Declaration and Initial Study.
The project, scheduled for construction in 2014, is designed to enhance flood protection, reduce runoff pollution, and significantly improve the quality of plant andwildlife habitat within the facility, as well as its aesthetic appeal.
The 30-day public review period for the Mitigated Negative Declaration (MND) and Initial Study began May 20, 2013 and end on June 18, 2013. The complete document and other project details are available for review at http://dpw.lacounty.gov/go/oxford.
