Heather K of Thatcher …Regarding VSA flyer removal. Shame on that person. They have no right being in a political position manning a VNC table or whatever his part is. Shame on him. He’s no better than a hacker.

Stewart O of Presidents Row Association …Reference to proposed BevMo.One might want to read the article in Argonaut newspaper of 25 April.http://argonautnews.com/link-between-abc-license-density-underage-drinking-found.

Diane L of Carter …Whoever the person was from VSA distributing the envelopes for the OPD did a lousy job.  I saw them on the street and in bushes…too easy for apt residents to pick up and “apply.”  Hoping VSA realizes NOT to let them get passes.

Douglas F formerly of Howard …Ref: Douglas was the grandson of Rimmon L. Fay and son of Dr. Rimmon Carlton Fay.

On May 26, I drove down to Long Beach to meet for the first time Don May. Don’s father and my grandfather Rimmon Loraine Fay were members of the Ocean Fish Protective Association. Don worked with Rim on many environmental battles. Don still to this day gets choked up at the loss of his good friend Rim Fay. You can go to YouTube and type “hero of the coast Don May on Rim Fay”. The May 26th event was to honor Don May & Janet Bridgers and to watch her latest Heroes of the Coast Prop 20 documentary.

We need folks like Don, Janet to make this world a better place.

And don’t forget the following:

Event: Artificial Reefs in Santa Monica Bay Public Forum

Date: 10 Jun 2013 6:30 PM – 9:00 PM EDT
Location: Martin Luther King Jr. Auditorium, Santa Monica, CA
This is a Public Forum to provide information to Santa Monica residents & the surrounding area residents, government officials, environmental groups.  The Forum is free and open to the public, but due to the limited seating capacity of the auditorium (146), registration is requested.  The Forum will consist of a slide presentation followed by questions and answers.

Jody E formerly of Oxford and now Santa Clarita …

If you can’t have fun with the idea, we’d be left only with frustration which would perhaps lead us to, goodness forbid, move to Santa Clarita!!!!!! Ahhhhhhh!

I wonder if Heather Kahler will EVER come to the realization that what I predicted 3-4 years ago (and was derided for, being called a “whiner” and “complainer”, and “exaggerating”) is PRECISELY what is happening right now… and much of it due to the attitudes of people (like her) who refuse to see the reality until it has visited her own very doorstep– at which point of course it is pretty much too late to do anything about it.
I will never in a million years return to living on the west side (or ANYWHERE in L.A., if I can help it.) It just keeps getting worse and worse, with Band-Aids being put on blisters while arteries spurting out blood are left untouched. And after living in Santa Clarita for 18 months, we still love it… love the people (rare to see a stressed-out person here), the neighborhood, the cleanliness, the weather, the stores and restaurants, the lakes and wildlife, recreation… all at less than half the price of MDR… but please don’t tell anybody! We don’t want mean-spirited west-siders up here!
Too bad that only a handful of people are willing to sound the fire alarm while everyone else complains about the alarm being too loud and unnecessary… meanwhile the house burns down.

Kari P of Oxford …I didn’t get a Flyer this week! How do I obtain another?

Also, does anyone know who to contact regarding cleanup of trash, human feces, dog droppings in the path behind the wall on the bike path. Especially up the seven first houses from Washington. Homeless camp out at night, leave in the morning and leave behind their trash. It’s been accumulating for months. Beaches and Harbor cut shrubs and weeds, but never pick up trash.

Comment:  One has to contact County Beaches and Harbor department.

Peter Griswold of Oxford …   Why do you think my phone will not reach 311? Are there others in the Triangle with this problem?

1.  I carry a doggy bag in hand for all to see…..and take it home to my own black trash bin.    At times I removed others’ because some neighbor might suspect me of leaving it.

2.   The alley pavement is getting worse because sanitation trucks are doing double duty.  So set money aside for the special assessment district to repair them.

3.   The County can keep the overnight restrictions, but should remove 2 hour parking signs on Washington along the duck pond for beach goers….some of whom will park on Oxford.

4.   Good deeds must be punished. I was accused of leering into a house window. But as a Neighborhood Watch Volunteer for years I remove alley rubbish and even viewed over to see that properties are safe.

            5.   I have removed many graffiti symbols as directed by our Triangle Champion.

Comment:  The county 2-hour limit on Washington was instituted and RV row was removed from Washington.  Do you remember?  The 2-hour restriction was immediately sought for the Triangle on Thatcher around the Maintenance Yard.  RV row in the Triangle moved on.  It was bumper-to-bumper RV.  Do you remember?  These two streets were the reasons for the beginning talks for the City, the police, the residents regarding OPD, OHV for the City.
