The Venice Historical Society (VHS) has scheduled the films and shorts of Laurel & Hardy, shot in Venice. The show is scheduled for Tuesday, July 23, 7 pm at S.P.A.R.C. (Old Venice Police Department Building), 685 Venice Boulevard, Venice, California, 90291. Free for VHS members; $5 for non-members. Light refreshments.
Film Historian and documentary filmmaker, Elaina Archer will be presenting film clips from Laurel & Hardy’s careers and discussing their tremendous contribution to the world of comedy.
It will be told how the two were accidentally cast together to form this incredible team. Also one will learn how vastly different their characters were from the ones that finally emerged.
Buster Keaton is scheduled for August 20.
