Measure “EE” is on the June 4th, 2019 election ballot. It affects all residential and commercial property within the boundaries of the Los Angeles Unified School system. It requires a 2/3 vote to pass.
This LAUSD Measure “EE” Parcel Tax raises the existing school tax of 12 cents to 28 cents on your property tax bill. It is based on a parcel’s square footage and not on the value of the property, This 16 cent increase is calculated to raise FIVE HUNDRED MILLION DOLLARS A YEAR for a total of more than SIX BILLION DOLLARS over its 12 year life cycle.
But, there could be an additional increase in the total tax. In the article below the description of “EE” was changed after the LA School board approved the measure.
There is NO detailed plan of how the money will be spent or accounted for. The crying need for knowing the status/content of the present instructional classroom programs continues to be consciously hidden from the public.
Keep tuned in. This is one of the most secretive ballot measures in years.

If it passes everything from getting your nails done to buying at 7-11 will go up (including your rent)
Wouldn’t LAUSD’s money be better spent lobbying Gavin Gruesome for some of the state’s billions in extra tax receipts than shouldering the public with yet more taxes? Last time anyone checked, there was supposedly a housing affordability “crisis”. Larding additional taxes on top of property taxes isn’t making life any less expensive.
Vote NO, no accountability on how money is spent
