Clarification: Update Opinion-8 August stated that zoning on Ocean Front Walk (OFW) should be changed to exclude medical marijuana and paraphernalia, etc. The zoning is community commercial and doesn’t need to be changed as such but the allowed uses within that zoning should be changed to exclude these operations and their sundry paraphernalia. Other operations that might be attracted to OFW could be excluded at the same time. This has become a public safety issue for Venice and particularly for those on or near OFW.
