Flexible bollards made of plastic or similar type material were placed in several places along Ocean Front Walk (OFW) to direct and deter vehicles from entering Ocean Front Walk. The bollards shown are on Rose where people cross OFW to enter parking lot. Bollards are placed there to prevent drivers from turning left or right onto OFW.
Not all streets have bollards; some have signs; some have not changed.. This is an example of group of signs and is at Clubhouse.
Brooks was an unbelievable study in taking precautions. There were flexible bollards at the end of Brooks with sign that said Road Closed. There were signs at beginning of Brooks west of Speedway, as shown, that read Dead End, Road Closed to Thru Traffic, and Tow Away, No Stopping Any Time. There was a police car shown parked behind bollards and yet man in Porsche pulls up and parks behind unattended police car, gets out, walks around on OFW and then gets back in car and leaves area.
