You know when I first moved here in the 90’s and for many years after, there were always motorcycle cops who staked out the Washington/Lincoln intersection and nailed people going through the alley. It really really cut that down to almost nothing when they did it a couple of times a month. I haven’t seen cops doing that for several years now. In fact, I don’t see any motorcycle cops around at all. They could make a bunch of dough for the city if they came back

Just wanted to inform you that the garage structure is scheduled to come
down this week. The mural was a favor for an artist friend considering the wall would be demolished in such a short time frame.
No murals will exist on our new structures.

If all the alleys that ran along Washington, from Walgreens to Oxford, were one way west bound, it wouldn’t be blocked up like that. Daily from 3-6 it is a nonstop parade of cars. We stand out front and watch as they blow through, roll through or don’t fully look at the stop sign at Thatcher and Howard. And all of them driving too fast. I miss the good old days when ample parking was the biggest issue.

Regarding the alley traffic, it could be stopped overnight, if the city made it one-way going west.
