Cassie B of Yale …I think it is better to be open till 2 am. Especially if they are invested in keeping their business looking inviting by helping monitor the homeless sleeping along their walls. I’m in favor of whatever they need to do to be successful because a thriving business is better than a fenced up lot. Better for property values and more places to walk and eat.
Heather K of Thatcher …While walking from my front gate to my car (which was seven houses away from mine after finally finding a parking spot) to retrieve something I left in it, I passed a kanoodling couple looking like they were going out on a date. As I passed I said ” valet parking too expensive for ya? They said (while giggling) “yes, it is.”
I replied, ” we’ll we pay the price, I’m parked seven houses away from my own because people don’t pay the valet.” they giggled and laughed some more. Real funny.
Jeanne B of Howard …If you go to the website for Firestone-Walker Brewerythey already mention coming to Venice location. This is a huge operation and I think it will have a big impact on the area.
It is a major destination and the last thing we need is more traffic and parking issues.
Reta Moser …Councilman Bonin– Big thank you for the warn, bag, tag, store program. This is a big start to cleaning up Venice. Venice suffers from litter immensely but it also suffers from filth, unsanitary filth. Cleaning up Venice was one of Update’s main topics, top of the to-do list for Councilman Bonin. Big step forward. Thank you.
And a special thanks to Yolanda Golzalez of Venice Blvd who told of Farmacy closing and of the Air Stream business. Also Yolanda said she had the City out next day after publication of the Update showing opened sewer. Update attributes response to MyLA311 app where it was also reported.
Took two reports to MyLA311 of crumpled one-way sign on Venice Blvd. DOT called to verify position. DOT said it would take a little while to replace but would be done.
