Do you feel a four-foot fence is sufficient to protect the birds and the ducks from people, animals? Do you feel a four-foot fence will keep homeless out of the duck pond? Do you feel it will keep out trash and prevent people from dumping food in or dropping off rabbits and ducks? (The latter wasn’t that many years ago.)
The present fence started out being a 6-foot chain link fence but then an addition was added of either another four or six feet.
Someone recently got in to put graffiti on the pumping station just off the bike path.
The County is scheduled to redo the duck pond, Oxford Retention Basin, and put in a four-foot fence. If you feel a four-footer is insufficient, please email Doug Fay at DouglasPFay@AOL.com. Do it now before it is too late.
Also, If you would like to spend an hour helping to clean up the Duck Pond with other volunteers, get on the list by emailing the Update at Triangleupdate@gmail.com. No date for cleanup has been established but it will probably be a Saturday or Sunday.
