Buddy, who recently moved into the Marina City Club, left home by running out the front door, and was not seen for 12 days. His picture was posted in Update as one wanted. Scott Myklebust who lives on Oxford called the number to say he thought Buddy had been hanging with his crowd. Owner Sheri Aver went to check it out and there was Buddy. Moral to this story is: Consult with cat before moving to new location. The following is an account by Sherry Argov, Buddy’s owner.

After a 12-day manhunt in which BUDDY evaded capture, I officially confirm the suspect is no longer at large. Buddy has been apprehended, arrested and taken into custody. He is charged with trespassing, food-stealin’, sexual misconduct, street-fighting, disorderly conduct, evading authorities, and all around behaving like an animal. Buddy pleads guilty on all counts. He is sentenced to house arrest, and will not be eligible for parole until the year 2029.
On a serious note….I found my heart…Buddy…and words cannot express my gratitude to Scott who is my hero- and John who referred me to Update. One day after the Update went out, Scott called me to tell me he had fed a white cat who showed up for five nights on his patio. That night he allowed me to go sit on his back deck to wait for the white cat. Sure enough, it was my kitty who showed up 10 minutes later. The extraordinary thing about Scott is that he wouldn’t even accept the reward. His exact words “your happiness is my reward.” I think people like Scott are not of this world. I owe a debt of gratitude to a neighbor named John; he has a dog named Clarence. John told me about Update. And of course Update made it possible for all of us to connect and bring Buddy home. Update saved my cat’s life potentially, and filled the huge hole in my heart that never would’ve healed had I not known what happened to him. It’s amazing how much Scott impacted my life so much. I’m so thrilled to have Buddy home. I am also thrilled to have made the acquaintance of such magnificent people. Thank you again for your help.
