Land Use and Planning Committee (LUPC) of the Venice Neighborhood Council (VNC) is looking for committee member applicants.
Selected members will review projects that come before Venice.
LUPC has more cases than ever in the pipeline, most of which are time sensitive. Volunteers are needed immediately to help work on these cases.
This work involves reviewing the application for a proposed project, meeting with the neighbors and applicants, arranging and conducting a neighborhood outreach meeting, and preparing a staff report for presentation to the public and to the LUPC. Applicants may start working on cases immediately, providing an opportunity to learn the process under the supervision of a current LUPC member, so as to determine beforehand if the work and the time commitment are acceptable. LUPC meets twice per month plus the case work.
If you are interested in applying to be on the new LUP Committee, contact the incoming LUPC Chair, Robin Rudisill, as soon as possible at: chair-lupc@venicenc.org.
