Jane Morris-
Washington Blvd redo from where to where.
Comment: Seems this important fact was left out. It was suppose to be from the beach to Oxford. Traffic was blocked westbound Saturday at Abbot Kinney. Sunday traffic was warned of street closure from Lincoln.

Washington construction……… “least disruption”….yes August is CERTAINLY the LEAST disruptive period of time since NO ONE goes to the BEACH in the SUMMER…..don’t we have enough traffic to contend with? Really? August? Why not November? and this is the best part “Councilman Mike Bonin explained that Washington Blvd will be getting a “Street Lift” this weekend as part of an overall plan for Los Angeles to make areas more friendly, more presentable. ” ….should we NOT start with the Vagrant problem? What good are a pretty tree and a nice dark asphalt slurry? It doesn’t even qualify as a band aid when there are dozens of vagrants hanging out drinking and doing drugs and panhandling all day under that “new tree next to the pretty asphalt”. Or the strip club billboard next to a newly planted tree? Can anyone say “clueless?”
While I appreciate the effort to make our neighborhood nicer in any way, the execution and intelligence as to the timing and backwards priorities is absolutely mind boggling.

In regards to front door steps story, the Girl is right. Unfortunately, police do not come. I have seen her on the street corners panhandling for about two years. She looks pregnant now, and seems to be very aware of the police. Once I watched from my car how she was avoiding them. Maybe the police are looking for her?

At least they are doing the work overnight and not on a weekend when the place would be jammed with cars and tourists.
Oh, wait….

How awful for the people who live there.
We have a problem with the food trucks in my neighborhood, parking on Palms, making life miserable for a resident who lives right there with her husband and two young children.
