Regarding the situation of Santa Monica Airport: if Venice, Mar Vista residents have no say in the conduct of the airport, at least it would be hoped that the FAA would step in and enforce landing and takeoff rules. That would ensure that airplanes would not turn left to take off over Venice, but take off directly over Penmar Golf Course and the Santa Monica residents in line with a straight take off over the ocean. Landing should be the same. If they want the airport so badly and if nearby residents have no say in the matter, they should not turn south for takeoff or turn for landing approach over our neighborhoods, only Santa Monica.

What’s with the “anonymous” comments all of a sudden? I think if folks want to remain anonymous, there comments should remain that way too and not included in your “Venice Update”.
