Josh Svensson failed to tell you that the 8 foot fence along the bike path agreed to by himself and the County through our settlement agreement is being challenged by the California Coastal Commission staff. We know homeless persons and unleashed domestic pet conflicts abound locally. A 4-foot fence along the bike path will invite these problems into the Bird Conservation Area.
The trees aren’t diseased, they’re neglected and abused. It’s a play on words.
The political will to put an 8-foot fence along the bike path must start from you. Unfortunately, politically active persons in our community say things that are not true. Challis MacPherson stated my house on Howard Street was flooded in the past. This is false. There are no photos or newspaper articles to support her misleading statements. Flood waters never entered our home. Unfortunately, especially when a pump between the Duck Pond and E Basin is not in the proposed project and they are raising storage capacity over and above the height of Washington Blvd, the potential for flooding and significant personal losses will increase.
Why would she lie? To promote a project that has been based on lies and deception for decades by politicians like herself. I have no respect for what Josh Svensson will say and do for money and power either. They’ve taken serve and protect and the Coastal Act to the opposite end of the spectrum.

For those of you who want the CDO, Lincoln Blvd Community Design Overlay (CDO). It is on the VNC website, but it’s a bit hard to find. Here’s the link:

Just to clarify on the garbage can thing, the lid doesn’t actually have to close. I had a long piece of wood sticking out once and the driver took the time to get out of the truck, knock on the door and tell me that things can only stick out two feet. So…two feet, it can be open.

And it is ENTIRELY unnecessary. People just need to treat it like it’s their neighborhood and it matters. Like it’s home. Which it is!

David Lazarus had article in LA Times 14 November regarding the lady who texted in movie theater and sprayed Mace in face of complainer. Am sure Amy Alcon, the Venice guru on etiquette, will have something to say about that. She already covers talking on cell phones in her book Good Manners for Nice People Who Sometimes Say F*ck.
