Previous Update information, recorded in reference to Daniel Tamm speaking at VNC, was incorrect, according to Tamm. Update stated city parking lots would start taking credit/debit cards in lieu of cash because at tax time there was no cash. Venice only has three City parking lots where cash is handed to a person that Update knows about and those are at Washington, Venice, and Rose.

In describing some of the ways that Mayor Garcetti was finding more money to pave hundreds of more miles of road per year, I was saying cash only parking lots can enable unscrupulous owners to pocket the 10 percent city tax paid by motorists. Requiring credit card and debit card options at parking lots will increase collections of the tax and any collections over the current level will be allocated to street paving.
Also, I did not reference specific parking lots at all.
