Heather misses my point. Many years ago I and many others saw the problems that Marina del Rey and Venice are now facing. My remarks were intended only as a warning that it’s getting worse and it’s going to get much worse– and quickly–if people don’t take decisive action now. Obviously it doesn’t matter to me, though I do care about my friends living there now, the reason I responded to Reta’s post the way that I did. It’s been very sad to see the deterioration of the neighborhood I once much loved.

He no longer is anywhere near it and never has anything constructive to say about it!

I’m not sure which is more upsetting to me, the comments Jody made or the fact that there are girl scouts in the neighborhood that have never come to my door 😉

I moved to the Triangle five years ago and I have never had nicer neighbors, plus I love the
energy of the city.
So we have traffic. Homeless etc., but what the heck. We’ll stick together!
