Councilman Mike Bonin has set up donation places in all the council offices for two donation drives One is for food or supplies for Westside Food Bank that helps those in need in the community. The other drive is for toiletries, clothing and other essentials for those in the Westside Winter Shelter.
The Holidays are a time to enjoy family and friends and to give thanks for the past year. It’s also a time to give back, and lend a helping hand to those in our community who are most in need. This year, I’ve coordinated two donation drives to benefit families in need on the Westside, and I am asking for your help.
From now until December 20, I will have donation stations set up in all of my offices, where you can drop of food or supplies that will help people in our neighborhoods this holiday season. All donated food will be sent to the Westside Food Bank, an awesome non-profit organization that provides food for 70 local groups and agencies that serve our neighbors in need throughout the Westside. We will also accept supplies such as toiletries, clothes and other essentials so we can donate them to the Westside Winter Shelter.
More information about how you can help these donation drives can be found on my website. Please click here to learn more about the food bank drive, and click here to learn more about the supplies being requested by the Winter Shelter.
Thank you very much for your help and generosity. Happy holidays!
