Friday’s LA Times reports that Airbnb has removed Globe from Airbnb rental directory as a result of protest in Venice. See LA Times story.
Wednesday Unite Here Local 11 and Venice residents gathered at Electric and Westminster to march to Globe Home and Condo rentals in protest to their short-term rental policy. See Venice Update article.
Upon hearing of LA Times article, a spokesperson for Keep Neighborhoods First wrote:
“When will ArBnB, VRBO, Home Away, etc. ‘cut ties’ with all commercial operators, especially those listing more than one ‘home’ and converting entire units, including those protected by rental stabilization ordinance (RSO)?”
