CicLAvia will be 9 August from National Blvd in Culver City to Venice Beach from 9 am to 4 pm but roads will be closed from 8:30 to 5:30.
The six-mile run will be on Washington Blvd, Washington Place and Venice Blvd.
The course will be Washington Blvd from National Blvd to Washington Place and Washington Place to Centinela where it will go north to Venice Blvd and then proceed on Venice Blvd to the Beach.
Car crossing on Venice will be allowed only at Pacific, Abbot Kinney, Lincoln, and Beethoven. On Washington Place, crossing will be allowed at McLaughlin, Sawtelle, and Sepulveda. On Washington Blvd, crossing will be permitted only at Overland and Hughes-Duquesne.
Metro sponsors CicLAvia and says it is a car-free day for thousands to bike, walk, play and smile. It allows participants to meet and greet people in a way that is not possible in a car.
