Regarding Jane Morris’s comment on a stranger at her door.
Don’t open the door to strangers! I make it known I’m there and I tell them, not that they can hear over my dogs, that I DO NOT OPEN THE DOOR TO STRANGERS.
One man got mad and called me racist.

The story by regina weller about sharon maccarthy was so touching and heartbreaking.
I have a very close friend whose daughter was on the street, on drugs and go pregnant. Long story short, daughter and granddaughter living with mom. not an ideal situation, but is is certainly better than the streets and drugs. We see this sometimes in our neighborhood and it is very, very sad.

I like Deborah LaShever’s poop bags. Maybe the homeless will use it instead of dumping on the ground or in the residents yards.

Dial 1 then 2 to avoid the recording playing endlessly. Be nice to them — they keep our neighborhoods from being abused — and they will come and ticket the abusers.
please, could someone tell me who to call to report these parking violations.

Mark Twain local school leadership council election, 5:15 pm to 6:45 pm, 17 September in counseling office at Mark Twain Middle School, 2224 Walgrove Ave, LA 90066.
Community and School Administration are aware of my time and leadership in preventing the building of the Mandarin Immersion School being built on Mark Twain/LAUSD property and my strong opposition to have any new building on the Mark Twain campus.
We all live in Gridlock . This gridlock must be reduced.
On Thursday, September 17, 2015 from 5:15 p.m. to 6:45 p.m., Mark Twain will hold its annual Local School Leadership Election
which i was the founding father as the Union Representative in 1989 with Principal Nate Siskel after the teachers went on a ten day strike
to obtain the right to local school governance.
There are only five parent/ community slots and it is very difficult for a community member to be elected unless community comes out to vote.
There is no meeting to attend. Just come with a photo ID verifying you live in the community. Voting will take no longer than 2 minutes in the Mark
Twain counseling office.
As we have seen over the past seven months is that community must work in harmony to save our schools and protect our homes.
