The object of this meet will be to share ideas and talk about how to make communities safer.
Block captain meet for January will be with Chief Charlie Beck, Executive Director Richard Defank, Inspector General Alexander Bustamante, members of the police commission and Councilman Mike Bonin. Meet will be January 14, 6:30 to 8 pm, Daniel Webster Middle school, 11330 Graham Place, LA 90064.
Flyer said this was an opportunity for the public to communicate with the people in charge.
Twenty-first Pacific Division Police Appreciation Dinner Wednesday November 27
Pacific Division headquarters, 12312 Culver Blvd. Food drop off will be 1:30 to 4pm or later. Drop off of food donations should be from 1:30 to 4 pm. Serving will start at 3 pm and go to 7 pm.
We will be serving upstairs on the second floor of the station in the Roll Call Room.
Entrees, side dishes, meats, desserts, salads are appreciated. Please put all your donations in disposable and/or recyclable containers.

Officer Gill gives a vendor on Ocean Front Walk a ticket or warning regarding hanging things from the canopy. Meanwhile his compadre poses with the wives of visiting couples, first one wife and then another while the husbands take pictures. Officer Gill was asked if this was a normal situation being asked to pose with a visitor. Officer Gill chuckled a little and said “doesn’t happen much, particularly in California”.
Captain Jon Peters has been promoted to Commander and will head the Valley Bureau Operations. He has been head of the Los Angeles Police Division, Pacific Division until this promotion and transfer.
