Councilman Mike Bonin broke ground on the gravel parking Lot 760 at Irving Tabor last week. New lot, when finished, will have 50 metered parking spaces and bike racks.

Chuy Orozco, field deputy for Councilman Mike Bonin, said the metered time would be “four hours, and hopefully, this would keep workers from parking in the neighborhood streets.” Orozco said a few places near Venice Blvd would be metered for two hours to accommodate customers for the new market opening on Venice Blvd.

The parking lot, as the others have been, will have environmentally-friendly permeable concrete paving and will be lighted and landscaped, according to David Graham-Caso, communications director for Councilman Mike Bonin.

Taylor Bazley New Venice Field Rep

Taylor

Taylor Bazley is the new Venice Field Representative for Councilman Mike Bonin. He replaces Chuy Orozco. Chuy has become field representative for Del Rey and Playa Vista.

After being queried for a bio sketch of this Venice rep, Bazley wrote back and said “Thanks for helping the Venice community get to know me, I want to be a present face in the community and one that people feel comfortable to go to and this will undoubtedly aid that.”

The 11th district website has the following to say about Bazley:

Taylor is an alumni of the Coro Fellowship in Public Affairs, where he was placed at a number of political, elected, labor, nonprofit, and tech industry organizations, working on projects to solve problems and add strategic value. He brings extensive political experience to Mike’s team, having worked or volunteered for a number of political campaigns, including Jeffrey Prang for LA County Assessor, Sebastian Ridley-Thomas for State Assembly, and Betsy Butler for State Senate. He is also heavily involved in local Democratic Party and LGBT groups, such as Stonewall Democratic Club and Equality California. Most recently, he worked as a Government Relations Consultant for Bob Burke & Company. Taylor is a proud Bruin having graduated UCLA with a Political Science degree.
