Google’s Motorhome Park Seems to Grow; Residents Upset

West side.

Residents have not been able to get to the right person at Google to have him sign a petition to get the City to provide the “oversize vehicle” signs. A signature would eliminate vans and motothomes on both sides of the streets.

There is a street cleaning sign on the west side and a resident said that the motorhomes do move on Mondays. Resident was upset because one fellow in a car tied his dog to the bumper and residents were afraid the dog would get hit by cars.

“Encyclopedia of News Events” Goes to Google’s YouTube

Associated Press (AP), one of the premiere news suppliers throughout the years for newspapers, radio and television, and British Movietone, are dumping their archives—photos and stories and newsreels onto Google’s YouTube. AP news dates back to 1895. Read Variety’s story.

Footage includes events, such as 1906 earthquake, Pearl Harbor, terrorist attack on US as well as celebrity segments.

Variety says the goal is “to provide high-profile, searchable repositories that let documentary filmmakers, historians and others find news footage, and to promote licensing deals for rights to use the video.”
