I am planning on removing those crazy overgrown trees you have pictured in this Update. We just bought the house and have someone staying there till probably mid October. So in a month they will be gone and not an issue anymore.
Amy A of Abbot Kinney area…
And yes, thank you to Heather for her comments in last 5 September Update regarding homeless.

What kind of job is Pamela looking for?
Heather K of Thatcher…

How lovely a day it must have been. The last story still doesn’t change my opinion. What we deal with on a daily basis has nothing to do with a giant party encouraging the situation. I still walked to my car two nights ago from Walgreens with a panhandler so close and intimidating saying ” come on gorgeous I know you’ve got something for me” asking me for money, I hope, that I walked right back to Walgreens and had to wait it out until he seems to move on. So fancy party or no. The real life daily interactions cannot be fixed by a giant love in. If anything it encourages and condones it.
Chris W of Penmar Park area …
Councilman Mike Bonin wants to rename Marina Freeway“Ballona” Freeway.
Comment: Chris isn’t the only one to mention the renaming of the freeway. Most freeways, when they have names, refer to destinations, not causes. But then such is the glory of the office.
Wolf S of Yale …
Largest yacht off Venice. Go to end of Washington and you can see it.
Dan Whalen of Thatcher …
Ref: Pedestrian fire gate on Thatcher.
I saw three guys get in from Thatcher on Saturday…no lock, no alarm. When I spoke to the front office, they told me that they disarmed the gate because they had so many people using it!
Comment: This is a violation first and foremost of the Oxford Triangle Specific Plan.
Cheri N of Berkeley Drive …
My tenants are as upset as I am. Someone left a white sofa in our driveway. This is illegal dumping and now the city will not pick it up til next trash collection “next week” so realize we might have homeless sleeping out on it! Illegal dumping! No respect for our neighborhood!
Comment: Perhaps, all the goodies on Yale-Thatcher alley are dumpings too.
Venice Beachhead …

more!
