I’m glad someone is finally going to use that great corner for something other than a bus stop. At least it will be kept relatively clean, produce jobs and tax revenue.

Make that 15-20 cars on site and 10 cars parked on Garfield, Van Buren and Harrison. Hopefully now they will keep all their cars on their own lot and not on our streets!

We’re glad they are moving to the new location.

At least it’s not another pot shop!

I probably hold a slightly less popular opinion in that I do acknowledge we live in a city, and therefore am in favor of development/redevelopment and improvement in many cases. Knowing that the new firestone brew pub will create some parking issues and traffic snarls, I’m still quite happy it’s coming. So I don’t mind the development, I just would have preferred some fantastic consumer experience at Lincoln/Wash not Enterprise.

Used the “MyLA311” App to my delight Sunday. Reported two mattresses in Carter-Stanford alley and the one still in Thatcher-Yale alley. Did not report the man sleeping in Carter-Stanford alley. App is so easy to use.

Not easy for me because the area no longer has a good Verizon signal, particularly down Berkeley. But it was done and I got verification. Called the MyLA311 app organization and they were delightful. The MyLA311app has been such a success, the city has hired extra people. Now that is one way to clean up this city! Story about the app was in Update 8 April of this year and again in September. The app is for both Android and iPhones. You can even pay your utility bills, find out about the City, etc.

If they pick up the mattresses, I will really love the MyLA311 app.

You alley owners and renters should check out your alleys and clean up the debris on the ground. You don’t want the homeless moving in. Trees have been trimmed thanks to neighbors who read Update and are responsible. The sidewalks are looking better too. Thanks to all. Will do a story on alleys and sidewalks soon.
