Make your own headline on this one. And yes, before you ask, Venice does have it all.
What a jolting surprise for the eyes early in the morning–three mules and a man. Yes, one did see three mules and a man. The man and three mules were near one of the busiest intersections in this cowpoke haven of 7 million plus. He was packing up ready to get yonder when photos were taken. (See Comments by Michelle Dahlin.)
When asked what his name was, he said just call me “mule.” When asked where he was headed, he said Santa Rosa. He said it was legal for him to be on any roadway in California (maybe country) except the freeway. He was kind, gentle, and considerate as he went about his business of packing, and all the time, gave the impression that he was wiser than the city dweller. The mules looked well cared for and were responsive to the commands of Mr. Mule.
Think his 3mules.com website answers all the questions one would normally ask but it doesn’t answer how long he has been doing this, and what he did before. He is obviously tech savvy. He has a web page, goes to public libraries to post.
He pointed to alfalfa on the parkway, a favorite for a grazing animal, yet unidentified until Mr. Mule pointed to it.
From his website 3mules.com:
Who are we? Where are we from? We are mules. We are from the outside. We live outside all day, every day. Where are we going? Nowhere. We’re here: the outside, the web of life, the beautiful earth, a place like no other. We have come to this place, a place like no other. We have come to this place, a place of golden sparkling light, a place for anybody and everybody. Give your faith, hope and energy to this place at which time you connect to it and receive the magic and endless possibility of infinity. As you walk in this place with these mules you spread the awareness that this beautiful earth, like no other, can only be protected by the way we live one day at a time.
