LAPD has initiated predictive policing. Predictive policing is a complex algorhythm applied to 10 years of crime data. On a daily basis, it predicts areas where crimes are likely to occur. The goal is to prevent crime from happening and LAPD patrols these areas more closely while continuing to patrol the complete Pacific area.
